LinkedIn MCP Integration

Connect LinkedIn to your AI agents through Weldable.

Social

Weldable's LinkedIn MCP integration gives your AI agents the ability to publish posts, manage company pages, and interact with your professional network through natural language. LinkedIn has become a primary channel for B2B content distribution and lead generation, and connecting it to your agent means you can automate posting schedules, track engagement, and coordinate LinkedIn activity with your other tools. Your agent handles the API calls while you focus on the message.

Use cases

Content distribution from internal sources

Your agent pulls highlights from an internal Google Doc or weekly report, reformats them for LinkedIn's audience, and publishes them as posts on your company page. It adjusts the tone for a professional audience, adds relevant hashtags, and tags mentioned collaborators. Run this weekly to maintain a consistent publishing cadence without anyone manually copying content between platforms.

Lead activity tracking

When prospects engage with your LinkedIn posts through comments or reactions, your agent captures those interactions and logs them in Google Sheets with the person's name, title, company, and the content they engaged with. Sales teams get a live feed of warm leads who are already paying attention to your brand, without refreshing LinkedIn notifications manually.

Employee advocacy coordination

Draft a set of approved talking points in Google Docs. Your agent publishes the company post, then sends personalized Slack messages to team members with a suggested reshare and comment. It tracks which employees engaged and reports back on total reach. This turns sporadic resharing into a coordinated amplification effort.

Event and webinar promotion

Your agent creates a series of LinkedIn posts leading up to an event: an announcement, a speaker spotlight, a countdown reminder, and a post-event recap. Each post pulls details from a Google Sheet containing the event schedule, speaker bios, and registration links. After the event, it posts key takeaways and tags speakers automatically.

How it works

Connect your LinkedIn account through OAuth. Weldable requests permissions for posting content, reading engagement data, and managing your company page. Tokens refresh in the background so your agent stays connected.

Tell your agent what you want in plain language. Say "post an update about our Series B on our company page" and Weldable matches that to the right LinkedIn API endpoint, formats the content, and publishes it. LinkedIn has no native scheduling endpoint, so posts go live immediately when your agent executes the action. For timed posting, pair with a workflow schedule to trigger at the exact time you want.

Tips

LinkedIn posts perform best at 800 to 1200 characters. Your agent can trim or expand content to hit this range. Short posts get scrolled past. Long posts get collapsed behind a "see more" fold that most people skip.

Tag people and companies with their LinkedIn URNs. Mentions require the internal LinkedIn identifier, not just a name. Your agent resolves these automatically when you say "tag Acme Corp" or "mention Jane from engineering."

Hashtags still matter on LinkedIn. Three to five relevant hashtags increase post visibility in topic feeds. Your agent can suggest hashtags based on the content or use a predefined set from your brand guidelines stored in Google Docs.

Company page posts and personal posts have different reach dynamics. Personal posts typically get higher organic engagement. Your agent can publish to either, so choose based on whether the content represents the company voice or an individual perspective.

Pair LinkedIn with Slack for approval workflows. Have your agent draft a post and send it to a Slack channel for review before publishing. A thumbs-up reaction triggers the actual post. This keeps humans in the loop without slowing down the publishing cadence.
